First Sky Group, a wholly owned Ghanaian Group of companies, with interest in Construction, Hospitality, Insurance, Commodities and Banking, has made a donation of Two Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 200,000) as its support towards the 2021 Annual Youth Camp Conference of the Assemblies of God (AG) Greater Accra West Region.
Announcing the package at the 2021 youth conference, Executive Chairman of First Sky Group, Eric Seddy Kutortse, explained the decision was motivated by the covenant established between the Company and God to invest in advancing the Kingdom of God through the activities of the church.
Mr. Kutortse also stressed the gesture was also consistent with the company’s policy imperative in its Corporate Social Responsibility regime to invest in youth development as witnessed in previous commitments in the provision of ICT infrastructure and scholarship among others for needy youth in various parts of the country.
He reminded participants that the Group CSR activities have been more focused toward supporting social and religious courses based on which many individuals and organisations have attracted funding with education and church evangelism as the pivot of its CSR policy.
Commenting further on the gesture, the First Sky Group founder recalled the long standing relationship that has existed between his company and the AG Church citing the handover of about 60 church buildings in the Eastern and Volta Regions of Ghana including 15 sets of musical instruments and several houses for retired Ministers of God of the church.
Mr. Kutortse urged the youth of the AG Church to be disciplined, focused and diligent in their pursuit of God and their individual aspirations stressing the importance of honesty in all endeavours.
‘the greatest asset in business is not physical cash to start or grow it. The foundational capital is honesty which breeds trust which naturally attracts business. I have made time to be intentional about my honesty and trustworthiness. I do what I say and say what I do. Simply put, my word is my bond. This is a non – negotiable trait to build business’ Mr. Kutortse hammered home.
He assured that the fear of God, discipline and honesty are key to staying devoted to ensuring God’s kingdom is expanded using all available resources to build churches and engage in all forms of humanitarian activities.
‘We are blessed in all ways especially financially to support the growth of the Kingdom of God’, he reminded.
